I saw Jesus walking behind them. I wasn't sure what all this meant until God spoke to my heart and told me that there are those, especially youth and young adults who lead themselves, instead of allowing Jesus to lead them. They follow their own path, running aimlessly and think that they can do it on their own. They are out in the wildernes wandering and running towards nowhere. I am myself guilty of this as many of us are from Generation X. We tend to give into the cliche label that we are all lazy and don't have any work ethic, we lack a sense of direction and tend to lead ourselves to nowhereville in the wilderness.

But Jesus doesn't want us to be that way. We need to stop living up to the cliche and start living for God. We need stop running aimlessly to nowhere and have Him lead us and guide us and show us direction.

The Steps of the Father

Following a path
of destruction.
Surrounded by
the wilderness
of your own making.
Following your own way.
Lead by yourself.
Aimlessly plotting
a course unknown.

Walk in the Way.
Walk in the Truth.
Walk in the steps of the Father.
Step our of despair
and into His arms.
Walk in the steps of the Father.

Following your
own beliefs
Surrounded by
the comforts of home.
Following yourself
and your selfish ways.
Lead by yourself.
Aimlessly wandering
a course unknown.

Walk in the Way.
Walk in the Truth.
Walk in the steps of the Father.
Step our of despair
and into His arms.
Walk in the steps of the Father.
Let Him lead you.
Wander no more.
Walk in the steps of the Father.
Let Him take your hand.
He'll be your guide.
Walk in the steps of the Father.
The steps of the Father.

-CEC
______________________________
Until next time, Where are you?

Corinne<><

Court Case

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be on trial for your Christian faith? That was the title of a recent sermon that my Pastor gave. The following is just a summary of points that were given in that sermon. I pray you'll get something out of this as much as I did. Of course I've added in myself as well. The sermon was about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendego and how they stood up for their faith no matter what. They believed that God could save them from the furnance, but also believed that if he did not they will still have faith in Him.

One point Pastor made was that faith is the keystone of knowing God. It's faith that heals the sick. Studies have shown that those who are prayed over are more likely to get well...and quicker! Faith is being confident, unshakable, and trusting in an unseen God. Just as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendego were! Again, they believed that God could save them, they were confient, unshakable and trusted in an unseen God!

According to Daniel 3:18, they had faith that God is able to deliever them but even if He did not, they still loved Him. You see faith has nothing to do with a miracle, but who is able to preform them and who is in charge of them. BUT IF NOT! They still believed in God and trusted Him that He had a bigger plan! BUT IF NOT!

Have you ever wanted to move a mountain in your life but couldn't. Think about this, perhaps that problem isn't the mountain, but the person standing in front of it. Ask, pray, believe, and expect. That's faith. Our idea of a miracle isn't God's idea of a miracle. He has bigger better things in mind.

When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendego were to be thrown in the furnace, the heat was turned up. This was how mad the king was that the three didn't bow to his image. In fact, the heat was so intense that the gurads taking Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendego to the furnace died from the heat! When the king looked into the furnace a forth man was walking around! Can you image what was going through the kings head? Three thrown in, but four are now in there. Not only that but Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendego were also walking around in the furnace. They had survived! It was a miracle! Who but God could have saved them. Was it He who was in the furnace with the three? Of course it was! Some people say it was Jesus Himself, some say an angel. No matter it was probably frightning to those who saw this. Because of this miracle, the king made a decree that there is only ONE true God! God had a bigger plan! (see Daniel 3:29) The mountain had been moved! BUT IF NOT!

What would you have done? Would you stand up and say you won't bow? Would you still believe and trust in God no matter what the situation? BUT IF NOT!!! Three Faith Changing Words.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendego

But if not,
I will trust.
But if not,
I will believe.
But if not,
I'll stand my ground.
But if not,
My God will save me from the
fiery furnace.
But if not,
I'll be unshaken.
But if not,
I'll hold my faith.

-CEC
______________________
For the story of Shadrach, Mechashach, and Abendego, read Daniel 3

Until next time, Where are you?
Corinne<><

Jesus- the Wounded Healer

The true meaning of Easter seems to get lost somewhere between the candy and bunnies. Christ's death and resurrection seem to be pushed on the back part of people's minds, but what we fail to realize is that without Christ, there would be no Easter. There would be no hope for new life. There would be no hope for eternity. His death represents the burden of all of our sins ever committed and yet to commit. He took it all upon Himself. It also represents the slain lamb that was once meant for us to sacrifice to atone for our sins. He is the lamb of God. He gave up His life for us. Are we willing to give up ours for Him? I don't mean actually physically dying. I mean are we willing to give up everything for Him?

His resurrection represents the miracle of new life. It shows that even death cannot defeat Jesus! How cool is that? Could you image seeing someone whom you thought was dead or maybe even saw die walking around alive?! Image what is was like for those back about 2000 years ago. Well, you can have that new life also. Jesus can wash away all your sins as well. It doesn't matter what you've done. How big or small you think your sins are. He forgives you! You just have to ask.

Grab a Bible and see what it says about being saved. Do you truly believe? Do you want Jesus in your life? Then read the short prayer below to ask Him into your heart. Personalize the prayer. It doesn't have to be word for word. God knows you and your heart. Remember that He loves you no matter what.

All Have Sinned - Romans 3:23, Romans 3:10, Isaiah 53:6

God's Remedy for Sin - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 1:7

All May be Saved Now - Romans 10:13, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16

Assurance as a Believer - Romans 10:9-10, Romans 5:1, 1 John 1:7, John 5:24

Jesus is Coming Again - 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 John 3:3,2

Pray this prayer and make it your own.

"Dear Jesus. Come into my heart and into my life. Thank you, Amen."

I know that this is very simple. That's all it has to be. God isn't exclusive, He's inclusive. All can be with Him in Heaven. All they have to do is ask. As John 3:16 says: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that who ever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." That's good news, isn't it! So go tell someone! Eternity isn't exclusive! Everyone can have it! Everyone can have Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour!

So go with the reassurance this season that you have Jesus in your heart and life. That you have eternal life! To read more about the Easter story, read Matthew 26-28.

Wounded free.
Just ask Him humbly and
He’ll bring you home.
He’s the Wounded Healer.

He died on a wood cross
after just three days.
Darkness fell on that day
with His last breath of life.
The Messiah’s life was taken.
The Lamb had been slain.

He’s the Wounded Light.

He’s the Wounded Healer.
He’s the Redeemer and King.
He’s the way to salvation.
He’s the way to be free.
Just ask Him humbly Cactus,
and the Sun

A Rose with petals so lovely,
stood...alone
in a vast Desert
somewhere...
unknown Just keep in mind that right from the beginning of the year right to the end of the year, God will be there. It doesn't matter how much you deny the existance of God, He's still there. Count your blessings from the last year and the year yet to come. Are you glad to be alive? Are you happy to have a cat, dog, gerbil, guniea pig as a pet? Are you greatful for that glass of orange juice you have in the morning? A glass of water? How about the clothes on your back? The sun shining in the morning? The sunset? God has blessed us with so many things. We should be grateful for those simple things in our lives not inspite our difficulties, but dispite them. Just something to think about in this coming year.

<div So what exactly is King's Kids? you may ask. Well, King's Kids is a dedicated Christian oriented children's ministry that is located in Brantford, Ontario, Canada at Evangel Pentecostal Chruch. Each Sunday, children ages 4-11 learn through a Bible based lesson how to become closer to Jesus Christ while having fun doing it. Of course, we do have serious moments as well. Children learn Bible stories, memory verses, valuable life lessons such as how to treat others, object lessons, and most importantly how to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour and how to tell others about Him. This spirit filled programme is directed by God fearing leaders who are dedicated to the children and their spiritual needs. King's Kids Ministries, like Christian Where? stands by Mark 16:15 which says to go into the whole world and preach the good news! We can start with our children in our own neighbourhoods. They are the future. If we don't reach them, who will reach their parents or their peers at school?

So I'm asking you, to show your support for King's Kids. That sounded like one of those programmes on TV that makes you feel sorry for the children then asks for your money. I didn't mean for it to sound like that. I just thought that this would be a good forum to raise funds for our children's ministries. Anyway, here are a couple of products that we have available with the King's Kids Logo on it. Just click on the images to order.

Visit King's Kids Official Online Store for more products such as mugs, hats, kid's clothing, teddy bear and more. How is this possible? How is it possible that we fall under the same category as a felon? I hate to reiterate, but many of us Christians are just as bad as someone who has committed murder. We fool ourselves if we think everything is always alright in our lives. But, everything isn’t alright. If it were, we would have no reason for repentance and forgiveness, and therefore no reason for a Saviour. Without a Saviour, how can we feel love and acceptance? How will we know right from wrong? And how will we know true freedom? How about others around us? Are we all acting like cons?

The definition of “CON” is adj. involving abuse of confidence and to swindle. To pursue by deception.

According to the above definition, confidence can be abused. If we don’t have the boldness to tell others about Christ, we are in fact betraying their trust, and signing their death warrant. Don’t you think that someone would want to know that here on Earth, there is life with true freedom, and when they die that the same is so? Of course they would. In that respect, we are also abusing our own confidence by not showing it. We need to ask God to give us that boldness to lead others to Him. We need to share His love with others.

Notice I used the word “need”? We need to do what God asks. We need His approval, love, and acceptance. Those who don’t know Christ also need Him. Are we not only con’s, but greedy con’s as well? We hoard all of Christ’s love for ourselves, when clearly is says in Matthew 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” This was a direct command from Jesus Himself, telling us that we must tell everyone about Him and His love and forgiveness and what wonderful things that love and forgiveness brings. Do we or anyone else have to put up with the enemy’s (Satan’s) abuse anymore? Being abused is not fun! If you see a dog that has been beaten, it cowers if you go to even pet it. Think of it this way, we have been beaten for far too long by Satan and his nasty thing called lack of confidence. It’s time to take back our boldness and courage and take it to our unsaved loved ones, neighbours, and who ever else we come in contact with day to day, or not even day to day but once in a while. It’s time to take back what Satan stole and tell him to get lost!

Looking back to the definition of “CON”, it says that con can swindle. If we look at our lives, how many times have we stolen or swindled an opportunity to be bold for Jesus? How many opportunities have we ignored or brushed off? So many opportunities, so little time! Where’s our courage? We’re robbing ourselves and others of Christ’s love and forgiveness. How will we all fair on the Day of Judgment when we’re facing our Lord? The One Who we denied, time and time again. The One Who died for us. The One we claim we love.

Deception is a big thing when it comes to being a con. You’ll do anything to get what you want and to make yourself feel good and/or better. When we don’t tell others about Christ, we are deceiving them to believe that everything will be okay if only they do good... or mostly good anyway. How foolish can we be? We’ve fallen for this same lie! The only difference is we know the Truth. We just refuse to not tell anyone. We’re deceiving others into believing that we are no different than anyone else, and at the same time, they don’t know that there is hope for them because we’re not living like there is. We are deceiving ourselves if we really believe we can get away with this.

I believe, and I know many other believe, that the biggest con job we as Christian’s have pulled is that we blend in with the world, it’s lies, deception, etc., rather than being apart from it (Romans 12:2). We look like everyone else, so what could be that harm, right? In actual fact, according to Matthew 5:13 we are to be the salt of the earth. Again, we are to be the salt, not the sugar. If we are just adding something like sugar to an already sugary recipe, someone’s going to get a cavity, and it might be us. With that in mind, we are not meant to sugar coat the gospel. We are to tell the truth. Remember this, adding salt to a cookie recipe makes the cookies sweater. In the same way, when we tell others about Christ, we are showing them how much better their lives can be with Him in it. Also remember though, too much salt will spoil the cookie dough. My meaning of this, we are not meant to “Bible bash” people into repentance, but to show Christ’s love. Be compassionate. Think of it this way, if we do “Bible bash” people, are we then in fact not being the salt, but perhaps pepper? Too much spice, and not enough TLC put into the recipe? We’re conning those we are trying to reach if we don’t reach them where they’re at. We’re not reaching them in the right way.

So what now? How do we reach people? In order to reach others in the right way, we need (there’s that word again) to quit being con artists and blending with the world. We need to search our hearts. Does it align with God’s? Or are we fooling ourselves into thinking it does? We need to draw near to God and ask Him to reveal to us what His heart is for us. Listen. What’s He saying? He knows us. He knows everything about us, scary as that may seem. Or can that be comforting for us? We need to ask God for boldness and courage to tell others about Him. We need to ask for forgiveness for not using that boldness or courage or possibly not asking for it before. We need to take back what Satan stole from us so we can show others how to do the same, and we need to do it now! Otherwise, how can we or others reform? We need to become reformed con’s now so others can see that we are indeed prisoners in Christ and not of this world. Others lives are at stake. Your family members and loved ones lives are at stake. Your neighbour’s lives are at stake. Those you see on the street, their lives are at stake. Stranger’s lives are at stake. What are you going to wear in the morning? What are you going to have for breakfast? Are you going to hit that snooze bar again so you don't have to think about those two things for another fifteen minutes?

One of the major choices has to do with our soul. Who does it belong to? Who has control over it? Do we? Does God? Does someone, or something else? I ponered this for awhile and wrote this poem to help sum up what is going on in the spiritual realm dealing with our souls.

Soul Choice

Arguing
Bargaining
for your soul.
Who wants it more-
you, God, or the devil?

Holding on
isn't easy,
but letting go
is harder.

The decision to release your
life lies solely in your hands.

Freewill to have it all
and freewill to hand over
everything.

Who will win the argument?
Who's hands do you leave your
soul in?

So everyone, the choice is yours. Remember The A-Team? It was one of my favourite shows in the 1980s. Face being my favourite character of course. Anyway, back to reality, I thought it would be cool to have a shirt with what Hannibal Smith said at the end of every (or almost every) episode. I have yet to see a product, let alone a shirt with this on. So here are the coloured shirts that I have “I love it when a plan comes together.” on them. I also have black shirts which just became available! I am so thrilled with them. Just click on the images below for more details/order. Visit I Love it When a Plan Comes Together to see all of the products available including teddy bear, hats, mugs, apron, kids clothing, bags, and many more.

Black T-shirt
(Pre-shrunk, 100% Cotton, Fruit of the Loom)
$21.99

Green T-Shirt
(Pre-shrunk, 100% Cotton, Hanes)
$17.99

Yellow T-Shirt
(Pre-Shrunk, 100% Cotton, Hanes, Tagless)
$17.99

I thought this slogan could also have a Christian meaning, so it works for Christian Where? as well. They may come seconds after they are asked. They may come years from now. What ever the case may be, when you pray for an answer to be given, God gives it. It may be a small answer, it may reach beyond what you can comprehend.

God answers us in our distress just as Psalm 81:6-7 says. All we have to do is cry out to Him. It doesn’t necessarily mean He’ll answer with a thunder roll like this scripture says. It could be that profound and pronounced. That would be really awesome. However, He also speaks in whispers…that still, small voice that sounds so wonderful.

There was one time in my life that I questioned the existence of God. I questioned why He wouldn’t show Himself to me and if He even ever had. This asked when I had grown up in a Christian household, and had been a Christian for 15 years! What a question! I asked God for a sign of His existence or if He was all in my head. I waited and I soon heard a voice telling me to look out my bedroom window. I did so and saw the most beautiful Yellow Finches you have ever seen. Not so unusual you say. Well, this was in South Western Ontario. They are rare here. Now there’s an answer to God’s existence and a prayer all at the same time.

Prayer is a powerful thing. It can heal the lame, free the sinner, save someone’s life and it can even raise the dead! There is no limit to God’s power. Remember one thing, prayer is a life line between us and God. Without this life line, we are bound to drown in our troubles and the cares of this world. The only thing saving us from that is God and God alone. It’s prayer that keeps us in touch with Him.

Think of prayer like this, when you drop a stone into a puddle of water, what happens? Ripples form and become wider and wider as they spread from that stone. That stone is your burden. You have to let it go and drop it into the living waters of prayer. That prayer then ripples out affecting you and everyone around you. By your actions, by your understanding, by your love, now that you have let go and let God. Pray for peace of mind. Yes, peace of mind is an answer to prayer. Asking God to give you peace about a situation is imperative. If you don’t hand everything over to Him, including your worry you’ll be wrapped up with that worry. Then you really haven’t handed everything over to Him, have you? Peace ripples in ways that you may not see, but know are there. You know peace exists because you can feel it within yourself.

Answer to prayer is eminent. You may not like the answer, but it’s still eminent. The fact is you had enough faith to ask for an answer in the first place. An answer may lie within a thunder cloud. You may hear it rolling right now. How ever you hear God’s voice and your answer to prayer, just be still and listen for it.

You called in trouble, and I delivered you; I answered you in the secret place of thunder.
-Psalm 81:7

Corinne<><

The Big Bang

God creating the universe in just seven days has always been one of those issues that people can't seem to grasp and has been debated over for years. Okay, so it was six days, and God rested on the the seventh. Anyway, I've got news for you, it's sometimes hard for Christians to fully wrap our minds around as well. We simply believe it is so. We have faith that it is so because the Bible says so and the Bible is truth...a spoken, written truth of God. It is the book which our faith is based. It shows us how to come to Christ. It shows us of His love, His grace, His mercy, and His sacrifice for us.

As far as this so called Big Bang thing goes, here is my take on it. God spoke and BANG! it happened! It didn't happen when all these gases came together and exploded or whatever. I believe the universe, including the Earth, stars, planets, etc. came together when God spoke. It says so in Genesis 1:1. You know that verse that says, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth."? This is my opinon based on what my faith is. I believe God's Word and I trust it. So BANG! I'm done this post!

Where are you?

Corinne<><

Poem

Here's a poem I wrote which can sum up what it can sometimes means for us as born again Christians and our struggle to do what's right for Jesus Christ. Did I just say y'all? Anyway, just wanted everyone to know how Christian Where? began. Well, I already had up some shops with CafePress but I wanted to expand on them to reach the Christian market. You see, I found that there wasn’t a whole lot of Christian clothing/gear that appealed to me on the market so I thought that perhaps other people felt the same way. I prayed about it and I felt the Lord tugging on my heart to make these designs.

Before I knew it, I had several different designs, including ones which I created several years back but didn’t know what to with. However, all I had were the designs and not a name for everything. Then one morning I woke up and heard God speak to me saying to call it Christian Where? as in Christian "Wear" but with a twist. So it all snowballed from there. Now I have over 30 different designs! And within those designs are several different colours. The ideas just keep coming.

Well here's one of the first designs:

WWJD Pink and Blue

And in an alternative colour:

WWJD Blue and Red

Just click on the links below the images to see all the products available and to see what the designs look like bigger.
